Vox Motus (theatre company)

Vox Motus is an award-winning Glasgow-based company creating vibrant narrative theatre. We aim to dispel the myth among young adults that ‘theatre is boring’. The company’s audience data shows that its brand of slick, contemporary visual theatre attracts this often under-represented demographic to the theatre.

Ours is a theatre of story-telling visuals, comedy, magic, music, physical performance, puppetry, multi-media, new technology and most importantly thrills. Vox Motus makes theatre that feels of its time and is fresh, meaningful, unexpected, daring and bold.

The stories we tell offer audiences opportunities to engage in live experiences that may in small (or large) ways enhance or challenge their understanding of the world. We believe that meaningful engagement with theatre promotes well-being, emotional literacy and self-esteem in individuals.

Vox Motus works across the whole of Scotland and provides a range of activities that include drama, design and magic workshops, ‘behind the scenes’ tours and work-in-progress showings.
